Turn off your phone, close the blinds, put the kids to bed, and find a comfy seat on the couch folks because playoff baseball is back! 6 long months ago we embarked on an adventure to stardom and the final steps of that journey begin tonight. The Minnesota Twins travel east to take on the New York Yankees in a one game wildcard match that will determine who will advance and take on the Cleveland Indians in the first of two American League Divisional Series’. It's the first time the Twins have played October baseball since 2012, and the Yankees second appearance since 2015. The stakes are high, the lights are bright, and the opportunity at a chance of securing the Commissioners Trophy is on the line. This is #RedOctober

Pick: New York Yankees
For a man who loves pitching, this game doesn’t get any better. Ervin Santana, Luis Severino. Combined, both pitchers have a total of 30 wins during the regular season (a remarkable number in this day in age of baseball) with an average ERA between them of 3.13. This is no crap shoot like we’ve seen in some of our Business Person Specials (I’m looking at you Ubaldo). These are two titans of the game battling it out for postseason glory, but like in every dog fight there must be an alpha male and tonight I believe that’s Severino. Luis’ 230 K’s is good for 4th in the American League and his dominating high 90’s fastball has been the staple to that stat. Sweet Luis mixes fine-tuned precision with a rare velocity and I believe that will prove to be too lethal for the Twinkies in front of a rowdy New York crowd. On top of all else however, Severino will be backed by the Yankees new favorite toy. He is the man, the myth, the legend, Aaron Judge. Judge will be making his postseason debut and is the headliner of tonight’s act. Undoubtedly the Yankees will be looking to Aaron to crack into the magic that brought him 52 home runs and 114 RBI’s during the regular season and nothing will bring the crowd to their feet faster than an AJ moon shot. Overall though the Yanks are just better team. Although young, the Bronx Bombers are filled with talent across their entire batting lineup and I believe they’ll give Santana trouble like they did in there previous meeting in September. The Twins were a great underdog story this year, edging out the Angels and making the postseason after a 103 loss season last year, but this one is all Yankees.
