The Degenerate Digest v.157

Congratulations. We’ve done it again. A profitable week of college football. But Joey Digest, you went 3-4. No, you went 3-4. Myself and my loyal readers went 4-4, but with much better odds thanks to the #JoeyDigestLaboringOnLaborDaySpecial. But, but, I - I didn’t know how to get it!
For those bitching and moaning about not knowing how to get some of my private pics, please visit my other site here.
For those not bitching and moaning, but would like my more exclusive picks when offered, it really is simple. They’re all free. All you have to do is shoot me a text if you’re lucky enough to have my direct line, or DM me on X the Everything App (Twitter for the more sophisticated bunch), @joeydigest.
What a Week One. What was looked at as a mediocre at best slate, turned into the natural state of tomfoolery that is college football. Oregon opening the season as Oregon as possible, LSU proving its case as the necessary evil in the national title race, Alabama might have a QB, a lot of other teams might have a QB - technically every team has a QB - but you know what I mean. Secret clocks, Wisconsin was good for a half, and drunken Floridian drivers would rather shut the lights down at the Doak than watch another FSU game.
There’s a lot that the ever faithful fans of this sport have to react to after Week One. Naturally, these reactions are low hanging fruit for guys like us. Oh, you think Oklahoma is gonna boat race Michigan after that performance? Not so fast. What is Vegas telling us? Week Two is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of how the average bettor is locking in lines based on what they thought they saw a mere seven days ago. We are not average bettors. A wise man once said ‘You’re the voice, try and understand it’. Well that man was John Farnham, and that voice is us. Understanding it is the more detailed aspect to what good ol’ Johnny F Ham was clearly trying to get across. Reverse line movement, of course. We’re not gonna sit in silence. We’re not gonna live in fear (is AI really gonna kill us in 10 years? more at 11. unless we die in 10, then no more at 11). It’s a Week Two Reverse Line Movement Saturday.
(12) Alabama @ Kentucky: Kentucky +10.5
Open: Kentucky +10.5
Line: Kentucky +9.5
Bets: 80% Alabama
Money: 89% Alabama
Yes, I know, my pick is Kentucky +10.5 but the line I reference for the reverse line movement is +9.5. If you recall from one of my blogs last season, know your books people. I’ve seen this littered around at 10.5, 10, and now 9.5 at time of writing. It’s trending in a certain direction. Even what many degenerates know as the sharpest of the sharp (Pinnacle Sportsbook) has this at 10. The reverse is in full effect.
Final Score: Alabama 28, Kentucky 21
Arizona @ (15) BYU: Under 48.5
Open: Total 51.5
Line: Total 48.5

Hot and steamy Provo. I actually love this bet regardless of just the public data not lining up with Vegas. The only way Arizona can stand a chance in this game is if it is able to have some long, methodical drives. Because I suspect that’s what BYU’s gameplan is as well. Both teams will want to keep the opposition's defense on the field as long as possible to tire out over the course of a game being played in some nice on the field 95+ degree temps (a common theme across the sport this week for those looking to place bets outside of Digest picks). This might get close with some explosiveness on offense in the 2nd half, but I wouldn’t hate going into halftime 13-10.
Final Score: BYU 27, Arizona 20
Cal @ Syracuse: Over 56.5
Open: Total 52.5
Line: Total 56.5
Bets: 74% Under
Money: 71% Under
I know I just mentioned the theme of the week was hot and steamy thick sack unders. Do you know where Syracuse plays? In a dome ya dolts. JKS + Steve Angelli Shootout.
Final Score: Syracuse 33, Cal 31
(1) Ohio State @ (4) Texas: Texas -1.5
Open: Even
Line: Texas -1.5
Bets: 61% Ohio State
Money: 69% Ohio State

The biggest game of the season, and not thus far. This game will effectively determine who is likely going to make the playoff, and who will have a strong chance of missing it entirely. It’s that big. It’s going to be over 100 degrees on the field at kickoff, and the humidity ain’t gonna be pretty either. As evenly matched as these teams may be, as the Joey Digest saying goes, Texas is back until they’re not.
Final Score: Texas 27, Ohio State 24
Iowa State @ (21) Iowa: Iowa -13.5
Open: Iowa -11.5
Line: Iowa -13.5
Bets: 52% Iowa State
Money: 60% Iowa State

The CyHawk. Iowa State has a completely new team. This game does tend to always be close, but you can’t ignore the facts on the field. Iowa State has a completely new team. On the road. At their rival. Who does not have a completely new team? Iowa.
Final Score: Iowa 31, Iowa State 10
I have a couple other picks that are not RLM approved, so as not to offend HR, I will use this opportunity to provide my dedicated degenerates an opportunity to redeem themselves by opening up the DM’s for our first #PremiumMemberTickleTeaser of the year. No excuses this time if it hits, which naturally, it won’t.
