Not the best week last week, an absolutely brutal - never been seen before - back to back back door covers by Tennessee and the Over in Illinois/Iowa, but not the worst week either. Especially if you were an intelligent lad or lass and DM’d me on Twitter asking for the #PremiumMemberTickleTeaser. That hit, covered all my losses, and allowed me to come out on top for the weekend by a pretty sizeable margin. Congrats to you lads and lasses who had the brains to slide into my DM’s for that free lottery ticket (available every Saturday in case you were not previously aware), your kids will have a spoiled holiday.

I want to make a quick note about something very specific regarding this week’s games before I go off again about how we have little to work with cause of COVID cancellations, we don’t back down from a challenge, we stand tall in the face of fear, yada yada yada the usual schtick. I am extremely up in arms about the NCAA completely ignoring the fact that they could have gotten a game between Ohio State and Texas A&M setup with ample time to spare this weekend from the news this past Tuesday of Michigan ‘getting COVID’. I know that it’s not convenient for the NCAA, I know it’s not convenient for the schools, but what would you get in life if you only went the convenient route? Nothing. You would literally get nothing. I know the NCAA is all about what’s best for them but come on now. Is Ohio State even bowl eligible? I guess in a COVID year, they’re making exceptions. But don’t let that exception be ‘we’re just going to make sure we get a parity of conferences in the playoff as to increase views on New Years Day’. Make that conference earn it! I have no doubt in my mind that Ohio State would rip Texas A&M apart… but you have to give the Aggies a shot. They’ve been playing all year for a shot! Give it to them!

So yea, one more week till Championship Week. I want you all take it easy this week. Give yourselves a chance to breath. Smoke your stuff, drink your wine, and let the Digest guide you to California and back.

(1)Alabama @ Arkansas: Alabama -32

Not sure how many times I have to tell you all, I had some people questioning it again last week. You don’t question it till you feel the sand.

Final Score: Alabama 48, Arkansas 14

Michigan State @ Penn State: Penn State -15

There is really no reason to be taking a Penn State line this high at all this season. Which I feel like the majority of the college football fan base will also say when they open up their books with breakfast. This is exactly why I’m going to lay the number and take the Nittany Lions at home in their last game of the season. It’s a pride game. And they did seem to be clicking on all cylinders against Rutgers… but then again, it’s Rutgers. Just trusting the gut on this one.

Final Score: Penn State 35, Michigan State 17

Akron @ Buffalo: Buffalo -33

Maction on a Saturday? Feels weird, right? But that’s what we got and that’s what we’re going to take. Akron is downright bad bad, D-III bad bad, putting up and average of 19 points per game. Buffalo on the other hand is undefeated and putting up an average of 50 points per game with only a 4-game sample size. I know it’s a lot of points, but I expect Buffalo to roll before their trip to Detroit this week for the Mac Championship game next Friday.

Final Score: Buffalo 56, Akron 17

(15) USC @ UCLA: USC -3.5

Is USC like, good? Hand up – I just didn’t really care to get into the Pac 12 this season, even though I was surprisingly able to lose a good bit of money on ‘capital F for Fraudulent’ Oregon the past couple of weeks. But USC has seemingly strung together a nice 4-0 season and has increased their leads in each of the 4 games with a fairly exponential margin against fairly even opponents (ASU – 1, Arizona – 4, Utah – 16, Washington State – 25). The only thing I need to know about UCLA in this case is that they lost to ‘capital F for Fraudulent’ Oregon. If USC wins, they are in the Pac 12 championship game.

Final Score: USC 42, UCLA 35

Auburn @ Mississippi State: Auburn -6.5

I hate Auburn this season man. A team I really thought had a chance in the SEC at the start of the season. Nope, no shot at all. Bo Nix is Charmin soft. With that said, people are starting to ask if he is simply in a sophomore slump. Possible, but even if that is the case, he still needs to continue to build his portfolio if he wants a career in the NFL one day. In what could be their last game this season, I’ll throw the dice on Bo Nix ending the season strong with a solid performance in Davis Wade Stadium – even though I have been burned throwing the dice on him an ample number of times. This is your last shot with Joey Digest, Bo! You don’t want to end up eating lunch all by yourself like your fucking Steven Glansberg do you?

Final Score: Auburn 32, Mississippi State 21

Running Record: (81-62-2)

Also shout out friend of the Digest (probably), Kid Cudi for his latest album drop yesterday.
